Winning Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon

Check out the first video in my “Winning Wine” series, in which I profile perhaps the most well known red variety: the Cabernet Sauvignon. Fun fact! The Cabernet Sauvignon is actually a relatively new type of wine, which came about from an accidental hookup between the Cabernet Franc and Sauvning Blanc. Who knew they’d have such a famous child?

Also, while moonlighting last night in my fine dining job in Beverly Hills, some customers were so kind as to give me a glass of $250 10-year-waitlisted cabernet! Best moment ever. It didn’t really fit the profile discussed in the video however, as it was much more on the sweeter side. But lovely tannins and an earthy finish! Yum yum!
